Anarcho is a text editor, nothing more. It is smart enough to do most of the jobs that all the word processor posers out there are doing. Anarcho uses 150K of RAM and 35K of disk space. In these days of huge expensive applications, and limited hardware, it is nice to have something free that will fit in a small space. Anarcho will format text files from lesser computers including PC text files and QWK mail bundles. Version 1.4 adds a tools menu for >quoting out text and adding linefeeds.**COMPATABILITYThere have been no bug reports for Anarcho 1.3. I had a little trouble running it on a Quadra 800, but it worked. I have also tested it on a II, IIci, LCII, SE, and my own Mac Plus. Version 1.4 has only been tested on my Mac Plus with System 7.1.**THE TEXT MENUFind is CASE SENSITIVE. You need to know if the word you are looking for has caps or not. If you don't know, try "aul" for "Paul, for example.Reset To Default turns off the text filter and converts all the text back to condensed geneva 12. If you change these settings, Anarcho will remember next time you launch it.Text Filter, when set, automatically strips files on opening (see Strip Selection below).Insert Character will introduce special characters into your files, like Ÿ. A dialog box that is accessed from this menu will insert characters according to their decimal code. The bunny is character number 217, for example.**THE TOOLS MENUStrip Selection removes all "non-ASCII printable characters, including line feeds. Use it to remove single end of line returns. It will also format text files from a PC, as well as QWK and REP files. Some selections in these imported documents may require two passes of Strip Selection to get rid of all of the end of line returns.Block Text converts the selected range of text into a 60 character wide block. It will look just like this one. It does this by adding a return every 60 or so characters. Add Linefeeds prepares the selected range to be uploaded to a
PC by adding a linefeed after each return. When you add
